POST #100
Después de año y medio, por poco no me daba cuenta que mi blog ha llegado a su post #100 con poco más de 7,000 visitas de 72 paises. Para hacer algo especial decidí hacer un recuento y compartir mis mejores momentos personales y profesionales del 2010.
After a year and a half my blog is reaching the post #100 with more than 7000 visits from 72 countries, so in order to "celebrate it", I'm doing this 2010 recap with my best personal and professional moments.

¿De dónde viene el nombre de esta obra?
QWERTY es el nombre del teclado que usamos actualmente y es además el más común, su nombre proviene de las 6 primeras letras de la fila superior (chécalo). Patentado en 1868 por Christopher Sholes.

Están las teclas distribuidas de este modo por dos razones:
1. Para escribir más rápido empleando ambas manos.
2. Para que los "martillos" no chocaran entre si a la hora de escribir (con las antiguas máquinas de escribir).

SUPERNOVA (Proceso · Process)
El primer paso consistió en fondear el bastidor de un color oscuro para que los colores resalten mucho más, luego ubicar el centro y a partir de ir pintando con los colores seleccionados.
The first step was to paint the canvas with a dark color so that way the rest of the colors could turn brighter. Then I start painting with the previously selected colors doing circles.
Una vez que se tiene una área amplia de colores sobre el bastidor, usé una brocha ancha y un poco de agua para hacer trazos circulares y unir más las plastas de colores.
Once I got covered in color most of my canvas, I used a wide brush with water to trace circles and unite the colors.
Agregar luces y oscuros es importante para balancear los tonos.
Then I added light and dark colors in order to balance the tones.
Con una brocha mediana y semi seca hice trazos claros que diera el aspecto de lineas interrumpidas.
With a medium size brush, I did some lines using very little painting so I could get the interrupted lines effect.
Al final agregué el texto con un pastel de aceite color blanco.
I finished it adding some text on it using oil pastel.
Así luce ya instalado.

La idea de hacer este cuadro surgió a partir de hacer algo similar a "Barras Nutritivas" sólo que con un carácter distinto y usando simbolismos.
The idea of this painting came from another one I have called "Barras Nutritivas" (Nutritive bars). On this new one I tried to add some meaning on it.

Este cuadro representa la Ciudad de Puebla, ciudad a la que llegué hace 17 años y quería plasmar un poco más de mi historia aquí.
This painting represents my story in Puebla where I've been living for the last 17 years.
El primer paso constó en sacar un mapa de la Ciudad que tuviera una variable de formas bastante ricas y que diera dinamismo al cuadro.

Posteriormente lo escanié y en computadora le di la gama de colores para checar que tanto composición y colores tuvieran un equilibrio adecuado.

A esa imagen de computadora le hice los "grafismos" simulados para saber si la idea que tenía en mente se vería bien de acuerdo al dummy.

Una vez que el diseño en computadora me gustó, comencé a trazar el mapa abstracto sobre el lienzo y a poner poco a poco y con mucho cuidado el color.

Cuando que terminé de aplicar el color, chequé que todos los colores armonizaran y que estuvieran bien aplicados.

Los últimos pasos fueron aplicar los grafismos con carboncillos, fijarlos con laca, firmarlo y por último ponerle el sellador.

El 23 de febrero se llevó a cabo al inauguración de la exposición temporal de pintura titulada "A y B" en la cual participo con 13 piezas de diferentes formatos que van desde 40x50 cm hasta 80x100 cm. La inauguración estuvo a cargo del Arq. Raymundo Perroni quien es el Director de Imagina Museo Interactivo · Puebla.
Al evento asistieron algunas televisoras locales para cubrir este evento.
El Museo preparó también diferentes talleres para niños relacionados con la pintura y el arte en general. Dicha exposición estará abierta al público hasta el 26 de marzo del 2010 en la sala temporal.
On February 23rd Imagina Museo Interactivo Puebla held the inauguration of the group show called "A & B". I'm participating with 13 paintings of different formats. Raymundo Perroni, Museum's Director, gave the welcoming speach.

Different workshops of art and painting are offered to kids as a complement.
This exhibit will be open until March 26th 2010.
